Drug baron Warren jailed for Jersey plot
One of Britain’s richest criminals has been jailed for trying to smuggle drugs into the Channel Islands.
Drugs baron Curtis Warren, who was once Interpol’s most wanted man, was given a 13-year sentence.
Warren, 46, and five members of his gang were convicted last October of a plot to smuggle £1 million worth of cannabis into Jersey.
The former Liverpool durg dealer appeared by video link from Belmarsh Prison in southeast London for sentencing at the Royal Court in St Helier.
