Drugs worth £1m seized in raids
Five people have been arrested after drugs with a £1m street value were seized in police raids across England, including in Southampton.
Thames Valley Police targeted properties in Buckinghamshire, Coventry Hampshire, Northamptonshire, and London on Wednesday and also found £100,000.
The five people were detained on suspicion of conspiracy to supply class A and C drugs.
They will remain in police custody, a police spokesman said.
The addresses raided were Elmwood Park, Bletchley, Buckinghamshire; Stirling Crescent, Southampton, Hampshire; Wrentham Avenue, Maida Vale, and Westbourne Grove Terrace, Bayswater in London.
Officers also raided properties in Ascot Green, Wing, Buckinghamshire; St Ives Road, Coventry; Milton Road, Wellingborough and Bridle Road, Burton in Northamptonshire and Cliftonville Road in Northampton.
The five detained men were aged 26, 37, 24, and two were 30-year-olds.
