Police seize cannabis plants worth £100,000 in Lenton
Cannabis plants worth £100,000 have been seized by police in a raid on a house in Nottinghamshire.
Officers found 250 plants in the raid on a three-bedroom detached house in Rolleston Drive, Lenton, at 0745 GMT. A man in the house was arrested.
The raid uncovered a “cannabis nursery” in the basement, and two bedrooms full of more mature plants, police said.
Pc Mick Barratt said the drugs raid revealed a “highly-organised professional operation”.
He said it was fortunate the cannabis plants were discovered before they reached maturity and made it out on to the streets.
“I ask anyone who spots any suspicious people or activity, or notices an unusual smell, to contact police,” he added.
