Police warn over drugs incidents

Submitted by admin on Monday, 20 August 2007

A man has been found seriously ill at a flat in Bristol, close to where two people recently died of suspected drugs overdoses.

The man, in his 30s, was discovered on Saturday at a property in Redwood House, Wade Street, St Judes, and taken to hospital.

It is not known whether he had overdosed or taken a rogue batch of class A drugs, said police.

Police are urging drug users to be aware of these incidents.

Det Supt Trevor Margenout, head of Bristol CID, said: “The two deaths and this incident could be as a result of contaminated drugs or the quantity of drugs that the three men had used – we simply won’t know for sure until analysis has been carried out.”
