Weapons seized during drugs swoop
A large haul of dangerous weapons has been seized by police during an operation targeting drugs in Aberdeen.
Knives, crossbows and other weapons were recovered during Operation Lochnagar.
It is the largest operation of its kind ever carried out in the city and dozens of people have been detained this week.
Det Supt Campbell Thomson said: “Drug dealers cause fear and intimidation in our communities. Grampian Police are committed to keeping communities safe.”
He urged the public to notify police of any information they may have to assist them removing weapons from communities.
The crackdown is targeting “street-level” dealers.
